RainFlowApps exists because most business software is built to win feature checklists, not to be used on a Tuesday afternoon.

Why we started

We kept meeting teams who paid for an entire ERP and still tracked their tools on a whiteboard.

The big systems could do it, in theory. In practice it took a consultant, a training day and three menus to log that a drill had moved to another site. So people went back to the whiteboard.

We think the answer is smaller software. An app that does one job, that anyone can open and understand, that costs about as much as a team lunch each month. When you need another job done, you add another small app.

That’s all RainFlowApps is: a growing set of focused tools for workshops, warehouses, production floors and service teams, each one built to simply work.

The rules we build by.

Every app we make has to pass these before it ships.

  • One job per app

    If a feature doesn’t serve the app’s single job, it goes in a different app, or nowhere.

  • Set up in one sitting

    If a new customer can’t get started without help, we fix the app, not the customer.

  • No per-seat pricing

    The whole team should use the tool. Charging per person works against that.

  • Your data stays yours

    Export everything, any time, in plain formats. No lock-in, no hostage fees.

  • Plain words only

    Buttons say what they do. Screens use the words your team already uses.

  • Fewer features, finished

    We’d rather ship five things that work perfectly than fifty that almost do.
